Parts of Speech

 1. NOUNS

Refers to the words or phrases that represent a person, a place, a thing or activity or a quality or idea.

Eg:- dog , cat , school , temple , teacher , town etc.

2 . PRONOUNS

Refers to the words that are used instead of a noun or noun phrase in a sentence

Eg :- I , He , They , We , That , Those etc.

3. VERBS

Refer to the words or  group words that describe an action experience or express a state of being.

Eg :- come , go , eat , work , do etc.

4. ADJECTIVES

Refers to the word that describe a noun or pronoun.

Eg :- angry , brave , beautiful , old , little

5. ADVERBS

Refers to the words that describe a verb, an adjective , another adverb , or a whole sentences.

Eg :- badly , fully , nearly

6. PREPOSITION

Refers to the words that are used before a noun , noun , pronoun or gerund to show place , time, direction....

Eg :-  above , from , in , on , under

7. ARTICLES

Refers to the words that are used before a noun to modify the noun.

Eg :- a , an , the 

8. CONJUNCTIONS

Refers to the words that connect words , phrases or clauses in a sentence.

Eg :- and , or , so , after , but

9. INTERJECTION

Refers to the words or phrases that are used to express a strong feeling or emotion.

Eg :-  aha! , gosh! , wow! , hooray!
